Our roots, our wisdom, our future
What is the Haitian Spiritual System?
The Haitian Spiritual System is a way of life in harmony with nature and the cosmos. It brings together the spiritual knowledge of the 21 nations of Africa and of the Taínos, the first caretakers of the land. On 14 August 1791, at Bwa Kayiman, these traditions were gathered into one system, so that people of many origins could stand together as one. At the heart of the HSS are the lwa: universal intelligences that guide the world. They are energies, stars, and each one carries gifts for those born under it.

Numerology, the foundation of the HSS
Numerology is the foundation of the Haitian Spiritual System, and it has been since Kemet: Africa, in today's terms. It is spiritual mathematics: the knowledge of how the vibrations of the cosmos reach us through each planet and its element. Your date of birth, read on the Haitian spring calendar, shows the vibration you were born under, your natural gifts and the guardians who watch over you.
